Mosaic Films ‘Animated Minds’

'Animated Minds' Main Menu Pink Pigeon

Is a series of short animated documentaries which use real testimony from people who have experienced mental health problems. The films won a BAFTA in 2010 and have also been nominated for both BANFF and Grierson Awards.

We created motion menus to fit with the style of the animations, then authored and replicated the master to deliver fully packaged ready-for-sale DVDs. We first met series director and producer Andy Glynne in 2002 through the Documentary Filmmakers Group, an organisation he established to promote documentary filmmaking talent. Andy also founded DFG Films in 2003, one of the first companies to bring animated documentaries to the UK. In 2007 they merged with Mosaic Films to form Mosaic Film LLP, with Andy as their managing director.

In addition to the BAFTA, Mosaic Films recently won an RTS Award and a Mental Health Media Award for the series, which can be purchased through the Animated Minds website
