Kojak

“Who loves ya, baby?” Kojak’s trademark line from the hit 70s American TV show starring Telly Savalas as the bald, lollipop sucking, snazzily-dressed New York detective. We produced the DVDs of Seasons 2 & 3 released by Mediumrare Entertainment in April 2010.

We took a stack of DigiBetas, captured the detective into our pixel wrangler, designed DVD motion menus with a 70s flavour and authored the whole lot to discs to be fully tested and checked. (Yes, that means we have watched each episode several times).

In addition to designing the motion menus and DVD authoring, where possible we cleaned up the video and audio from the remaining masters, a number having been destroyed in the Universal Studios fire of 2008.

The show won Telly Savalas an Emmy and two Golden Globe awards for his portrayal of the eponymous hero. Each season comprises a 6 DVD box-set containing every episode and a gallery of production shots.
