Wood Green

Wood Green is a multicultural area in the borough of Haringey, north London. It’s a bustling area with bars, pubs, a shopping mall and two cinemas – a Cineworld complex and the imaginatively named Holly-Wood Green.

There’s a collection of 200 artists studios in a purpose built site known as The Chocolate Factory, and Mountview drama school presided over by Dame Judi Dench. It’s most famous landmark is Alexandra Palace, used as the location for the BBC’s first transmission in 1936.
